overnight to chiang mai

bangkok was lovely; not much else to report, except that i've seen more of the city's sights this trip than the other two times i've been to bangkok (on my way to beaches). today we were at the zoo, where we saw animals, rode paddleboats, and i spent 10 minutes stalking an 8-year-old girl with a digital camera (her t-shirt read "I SAID NO TO DRUGS BUT THEY DIDN'T LISTEN"). i didn't get the photo.

about to take the overnight train to chiang mai. okay!

fun fact: sri racha hot sauce (the bottle with the green cap and rooster label) is from the town si racha in thailand!

you always like watching monkeys at the zoo.
by the way, my printer does not print after you did something to it and also michael m.(very nice of him) came over the other day to fix the internet connection.
please take a lot of pictures of that beautiful city of chiang mai.

Tina...I can feel your pain. I was just looking for my DSL cable modem which seems to have disappeared since mike came home and connected me to a wireless network. why, you might ask, would i want my computer which is your normal run-of-the-mill pc (read: not a laptop) hooked up to a wireless network? I guess because I might want to rent a fork lift and transport my pc to say...the kitchen...or the bathroom...if the mood strikes me. I dunno. My DSL modem was working just fine before mike came home. Now the wireless modem is working sporadically. Ain't life grand?

Yeah, our DSL service has been crap lately too. In fact, we finally got a Verizon guy to come and fix it after a month of complaining. Surprise! It works worse now than ever.

That T-shirt is funny Chris. In fact, I once had a similar experience to that little girl's when I tried to have a frank discussion with drugs about leaving me alone!

oh, the girl's t-shirt was designed to make english-speakers chuckle, but is obviously inappropriate for a child. i'm sure the family didn't understand / couldn't read it.
