"world's fastest" is a nice phrase; maybe this will make it easier to explain what my job was the last couple of years. my cocktail-party line used to be "we're building the fastest computer in the world!" in an evil-scientist voice; now i can use the past tense! sweet. this isn't really that impressive yet, though -- when they get 64 racks together next year, it should scale another order of magnitude faster. (cross your fingers.)
on the grad school front, i go to grad school! i got paid again today. to do what? to read papers and go to classes and stuff! amazing! time for more homework.
