hee hee

This was pretty funny. From the Taipei Times today:

Japan `has no balls,' Lee says

Former president Lee Teng-hui (李登輝) yesterday accused Japan of "having no balls," being weak and appeasing China amid its opposition to Taiwan's democratization and endeavors to gain recognition as an independent state.

LTH spent some time studying in Japan, so I guess he's speaking from experience?

Did he really *say* the thing about the balls or is that the newspaper editorializing?

I wouldn't think that would translate well....

Thursday, February 19 (HONG KONG) - Japan's balls were allegedly discovered in a bowl of noodles at a local canteen here, sources said yesterday.
The balls, which have been missing since Japan was defeated by the Forces for Good and Democracy (U.S.A.) in 1945, were removed from the soup and sent to Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa's private residence.
"This is indeed a sad day for Japan," said Tung, adding that the transfer of Japan's balls to Hong Kong jurisdiction marked a historical geopolitical shift.
"But at least we now have those bastards by the balls," he said as he fondled his new balls.

rumors has that Lee is at least half Japanese, and a lot of "Taiwanese" (mainland chinese that escaped there during the civil war, not the original people there) think of him as a traitor.

I am glad the Japanese has no balls or else every country will be invaded by them (;
